This Sunday (7th October) Nan's Cabinet will we at Victoria Park as part of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Charity Walk and Run (though I will be seated). Expect tea cosies, knitted cakes, toilet roll dolls, sausage dogs, bunting, fascinators...

Happy Birthday To My Pop Star Grandson.. Nail from Bent

I saved all your favourite childhood cassettes Neil love. You can lick off the excess sponge and pop them back in your radio cassette  player we bought you twenty odd years ago. I hope you didn't mind your aunty vera using that record, the sleeve said "limited edition" and we'd never heard of them so thought it would be best.

Nan's Cabinet launch 15th June 2012

Nan's Cabinet launched 15th June 2012 as part of the Clapton Festival Opening party. Guests were welcomed with a glass of Sherry, a home made Baileys truffle, and accompanied by an original  Dancette playing 78rpm's.

This afternoon the East End WI (Women's Institute) and Fabrications of Broadway Market got together to provide an afternoon of tea - and the WI know how to make a decent cup of tea - cake, and making fascinators.

I made some lovely new friends, falling in love with Hackney more by the minute.
